Care

Info + Care for your PDA Necklace

What is an Airplant?

Most of our necklaces are planted with a Tilandsia, from the Bromeliad family. There are over 500 species of Tilandsia native to the subtropical regions of Florida, California, Mexico, and South America and they are typically found on the side of trees and in shaded areas. Tilandsia use their roots to attach to the tree rather than to gain nutrients. These small, hardy plants are a type of Epiphyte, meaning they gain their nutrients and water through their leaves.
